Can isolation make you successful?

Absolutely.

The entire world is currently experiencing a pandemic, which is something I never thought I’d be typing out in my entire life. This feels like a movie; this sort of thing doesn’t happen in real life. But here we are, and it is very much happening.

Now we can look at this pandemic from two different ways. We can approach this negatively, which is VERY easy to do. Or, we can approach this positively, which is a lot harder to do.
And I’m here to encourage you to approach this positively and find success and light in this time of recession and darkness.

Isolation CAN make you successful, let me tell you how.
Now (I hope) you’re all doing the right thing and staying at home where possible. There’s no bars open, no parties, no cinemas, nowhere to go.
To start with, this might be exactly what you need. Some quiet time with your dog, Netflix and a big bowl of triple butter popcorn, but we’ve been in isolation for a long time now, and for some countries there’s no sign of it easing anytime soon. So you’ve watched all the latest episodes of.. every single TV show ever and let’s be real, Netflix, your couch and some popcorn is getting boring.

Now I guarantee there’s been something you’ve been putting off because you’ve never had the time, well guess what. Now you’ve got it.

This is where the positivity aspect of looking at this pandemic comes into play. So, it’s another Saturday at home, unable to see your friends and get that delicious chop chip muffin from the cafe down the road. This is a total bummer, what negativity right?! Wrong.
This is where your isolation success starts.

Ask yourself, what is it you’ve always wanted to do? Start a YouTube channel? Do it. No one else has anything better to do then watch the content you create, so now is the perfect time to start.
Heck, write an article for Medium? This site can pay you know! Id the writer inside you is begging to come out, let it. It might just help pay the bills this month.

Now success doesn’t have to be monetary, success is completely up to you. Success might just be finally finishing an entire book for the first time in over a year, or trying out a new spaghetti sauce recipe. Success is what you make it, and you’ve got all the time in the world to make it.
I deep cleaned my bedroom the other day and finally wiping the dust off my headboard was a huge success.

I myself am a YouTuber and I’ve been loving all this extra time, I’ve been uploading more and more content because I can. I have the time and I have the passion.

Who knows, your isolation success might just turn into something more and expand way past isolation. The world is going to open up again, let’s all come out of this better, and more successful human beings.
